Brain Zapper
How do you feel about an alien device that can zap your brain out of existence or into a netherworld? I think it would:
A. Suck for the dude getting zapped
B. Feel weird to the dude getting zapped
C. Be and immortal war weapon
D. A and B
Answer is D. When it comes to war there is no such thing as an immortal war weapon. If mortal were a part of weapon decision making then we would have a much different history.

Exhibit C. War sucks!

So...the zapper would have to zap just the parts of the brain that can't feel so the parts that *can feel* will feel the rest of the brain getting zapped.
